Parkside Art Gallery presents the works of The Cariboo Artist’s Guild called ‘Cast of Shadows’ it will run until September 7th    You can drop in Monday to Friday from 10 – 4  on Saturday 10 – 3 at the corner of 4th and Cedar.

 

Cariboo Regional District Library Presents:  Saturday Songs and Stories, a story-time for families with children under 5, but older siblings are welcome.  You can join them in the 100 Mile house library program room, Saturdays from 10 to 11 am.  Bring your library card.

 

Every Saturday throughout July and August, Cariboo residents of all ages are invited to come out and enjoy Music at the Lakes as artists play their tunes.  You can join them from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.  This event is at the Interlakes Service Centre at 7592 Hwy 24 in Lone Butte for more info call 250.593.4869.

Musicians in Residence at the 108 Heritage Site.  Come join the Wild Pigeon Expedition July 31st to August 3rd 10:30am to 3:30pm daily. You are invited to share your stories.  The residency will be an opportunity to research and collect stories of the BC Gold Rush.  The research will be used to create artistic works including songs and stories that will bring to life the people, land, journeys, experiences, history and folklore of the BC Gold Rush.  On August 3rd at 7pm D Pigeon Expedition will put on a concert.  Admission is by donation.  For more information you can call Tayna at 250.791-9249

 

August 2nd South Point Resort is going to Kick off the B.C. Day Long Weekend Friday night with a outdoor concert featuring Dutch Courage! Come for drinks, dancing and good times on the shores of South Point. $10 cover (free for guests on-site). Rain or shine, as the band will be set-up in the outdoor barn. The 29th Annual Interlakes Rodeo will take place August 3rd and 4th.  You can enjoy the Wild Horse Race – Mini Bareback Riding.  There will be a Pancake Breakfast at Interlakes Hall on Saturday & Sunday from 8:30am to 10:30am, a Beverage Garden, Concession, Original Bannock, Mini Donuts & Icecream, Face Painting, and Local Vendors.  Rodeo Admission is $15 for Adults (13years+)  Youth/Seniors $10 (6-12yrs/65+)  5 yrs and under are FREE – – – Rodeo Dance Saturday 8pm-12am at the Interlakes Hall.  Live Music by The James Gang Band and Jess Lee.  Admission to the dance is $12 – 12 yrs and Under are Free.  There will also be a Rolling Roaster Pig Roast on Saturday at 6pm.  The Pig Roast and Dance are Family Friendly / Minors are Welcome – Bar is Open.  For more information contact Gary Cleavland at 250.644.6752.

 

There is going to be an Allan Faulkner Jr Fundraiser To Honour Allen, the Forest Grove Royal Canadian Legion is hosting a dinner with the funds going to the Faulkner family.  A plate of dinner (turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, vegetables, buns and dessert) is $20.  Children 10 and under get in for half price.  Music will follow the dinner, performed by Bob.  You can join them at 4535 Canim-Hendrix Rd.  For more information call 250.397.2455.

South Cariboo Summer Festival 2019

 

 

Re/Max Parks Alive will be in Centennial park from 6 to 8pm on August 7th.  This will be a night of free music in Centennial Park.  Vendors and food trucks will also be there.  Don Alder will be performing with his acoustic guitar.
