Parkside Art Gallery presents the works of the works of Neil Pinkett in an exhibit titled – On a Journey.  This show will run May 17th – June 15th.  You can drop in Monday to Friday from 10 – 4  on Saturday 10 – 3 at the corner of 4th and Cedar.

Cariboo Regional District Library Presents:  Saturday Songs and Stories, a story-time for families with children under 5, but older siblings are welcome.  You can join them in the 100 Mile house library program room, Saturdays from 10 to 11 am.  Bring your library card.

 

 

 

On June 8th the 108 Mile Ranch Lions Club will be hosting their 3rd Annual Pig Roast at the 108 Mile Community Hall. A silent Auction will be held, plus door prizes will be featured. Doors open at 5:30pm with dinner served at 6:30pm. Tickets can be purchased for $25 from Donex Pharmacy, the 108 Mile Supermarket and Mary’s Country Kitchen.

 

 

June 15th come out and enjoy the Lone Butte Fish and Wildlife Association Annual family Day.  This is a Fun Day to start at 10am and go thru till 5pm.  There will be free hotdogs and hamburgers.  Members and non-members can check out the shooting facilities and try out firearms.  You can join them at 5513 Highway 23 in Lone Butte.

 

 

 

Sunday June 16th come and check out the Father’s Day Family Fun.  Treat your Dad, Stepdad, Grandpa, Uncle and Brother to dinner.  This $12.00 pig roast dinner is served with mashed potatoes, gravy, ceasar or tossed salads.  Burgers are $7.50, Hot Dogs are 4.50. You can also pick up cold drinks, coffee, tea, pop or water.  There will be Indoor and outdoor games, a photobooth (bring cameras), crafts and a petting zoo.  Admission is by donation.  The event will begin at 4pm, June 16th at the Lone Butte Community Hall.

 

 

It’s adult soccer time. Meet at the 100 Mile House & District Soccer Fields for tons of fun on the pitch. $5 drop in or $40 for the season until the end of September. This is a recreation mixed drop in league. Join them every Thursday at 7pm. Plus recreational ladies soccer has start on Wednesday evenings at 7pm at the soccer fields. $5 drop in or $40 for the season. This is for any women that have no skill, have lots of skill or just a little bit of skill… this is a place for all ladies that just want to get out and have a great time with lots of laughter and exercise. Get some shin guards and give it a try. You will love it!!

 

 

Summer Festival time is gearing up! The South Cariboo will see two fabulous festivals in August. First the South Cariboo Chamber South Cariboo Summer Festival at the South Cariboo Rec Centre and Grounds with loads of entertainment and fun! The 108 Mile Ranch is turning 50 this year! Celebrations are happening June 21 through 23. Come out for an evening of fun as the celebration continues into the evening with a barn dance in the upper floor of the historic Watson Barn, This is a family friendly event and all ages are welcome. This is a free event and donations will be accepted with profits going to the 108 Heritage Site.

 

 

The 100 Mile Legion Annual Golf Tournament is happening June 15th at the 108 Golf Resort. There will be a steak sandwich BBQ and putting contest. Register at the Legion. The tournament is open to members, sponsors, and guest. Plus there will be live music as well.

 

 

 

The 100 Mile House Amazing Race, hosted by the 100 Mile House Lions, is taking team registrations now with a maximum of 15 teams. The Race is on June 15th starting at the Creekside Seniors Centre. Participants must be 16 or over and the cost is $160 per team of 4. Breakfast, lunch and prizes are included.

 

 

South Cariboo Summer Festival August 10th - 11th 2019

 

 

The Age Friendly Society of the South Cariboo is excited for their upcoming Seniors Resource Fair on June 20th from 10am -3pm at the South Cariboo Rec Centre. They are seeking to create a diverse representation of resources for seniors at the fair. Exhibitors are asked to incorporate an activity, give-away, or something to bring energy to this event and traffic to your table. Registrations for vendors can be dropped off at the Canlan Ice Sports office at the South Cariboo Rec Centre. The 70th Bridge Lake Rodeo is gearing up to start on June 29th at the Bridge Lake Rodeo Grounds. Pancake breakfast start at 8:00am and slack at 9am. The main event starts at noon. The Hot July Nights Committee is in full swing gearing up for the Hot July Nights Car & Bike Show. Three days of activities are planned. Friday July 12th is a meet and greet at A&W including a show and shine and rod run, July 13th includes the poker run, BBQ and entertainment and the big event the Show & Shine in Centennial Park 100 Mile House on the 14th .
