Food Bank Benefit Concert Local musicians including the Community Band, vocalists, saxo, guitar players, also Classical and Brazilian Bossa Nova solo guitar. Entry is by donation, either cash or bring a non-perishable food item (cans, jars, etc) There will be a free concession after the concert. The 100 Mile House Wranglers face off against the Creston Valley Thunder Cats in their second home game of the season at 7pm on Saturday, September 28th at the South Cariboo Rec Centre.

Orange Shirt Day – Every Child Matters is on Monday September 30, 2019 at the 100 Mile House Arena Ball fields at 12:00 noon. Everyone is welcome! This event is honouring residential school survivors and their families as well as remembering those that didn’t make it.
The Lac La Hache Curling Club is looking for new curlers to join them for the 2019/2020 season. If you care interested in having fun, learning a new skill or refreshing an old one, curling could be for you. They curl every second Sunday, at the 100 Mile curling Club, commencing October 20, 2019 at 2:00pm. The cost is $125.00 for a full season of curling. All ages and levels are welcome. Under age curlers will need a guardian consent form completed. Curling aiides are available for those who are unable to get down in the hack to throw rocks. For those who wish to curl but are unable to attend for the entire season, you can put yourself on the spare board to be contacted to spare when regular curlers aren’t able to make it out. Iron Horse Pub Chili Cook-Off October 6th 9:am – 3:pm
Does your chili ROCK? Do you think you got something? Enter and let’s see who wins! Join us on Sunday October 6th for our Chili Cook-Off 2019 at the Iron Horse Pub in Lone Butte. We’re looking for participants up to a maximum of (15) fifteen and you can enter as a group our individual. Chili Cook-Off Registration is $25 – Door Prizes-50/50 Draw, Music, Fire-Pit to keep warm – Cash Prizes for first, second place and people’s choice!
A walk-through Chili Alley Taste Testing $10
Your chili must be cooked on site without electricity. Bring your tent, ingredients, table, BBQ and anything you need to get inspired, be creative and spend a fun filled day outside. Create a theme and have fun! Set up at 9:am, serving chili @ 12:30pm and Judging at 2:30pm. Chili testing spectators and participants will be able to walk through and taste test all the special creations!

Open to ages 60+, half year (first half goes to Christmas, second half after), Curlers determine their teams and keep them for the half. Second half you can drop out, change your team, keep your team. The cost is $90 for one half plus $20 for a one time Curl BC affiliation if this is your only league. The 5th Annual Oktoberfest, hosted by the 108 Mile Ranch Lions Club is taking place on October 5th at the 108 Mile Community Centre.
