On Sunday October 11th, 2020 an unknown male suspect entered the Tim Hortons on two separate occasions and completed purchases with counterfeit US $50 bills. The bearded male suspect, wearing a red coat, black ball cap, and back pack, then departed the store and entered what appears to be a white Chevrolet Uplander, with possibly other occupants, then they left the area. The total loss of the transaction is approximately $130.
The 100 Mile House RCMP are advising other businesses in the area be aware counterfeit currency is being circulated and to be extra vigilant. Please report similar activity to the 100 Mile House RCMP.
