On February 3rd 2021, 100 Mile House RCMP attended to a report of mischief of some Canada Post mailboxes in the Finn Road/Horse Lake Road area near 100 Mile House BC. The complainant reported that two of the larger delivery boxes were opened by an unknown suspect. It was unknown if any items were in the boxes. There are no suspects or witnesses. This occurred three times in the past week with boxes along different routes. The investigation is ongoing.
On February 3rd 2021, 100 Mile House RCMP attended to a report of a collision between two vehicles in the 5500 block of Highway 24 near Lone Butte BC. One car heading east lost control and slammed into another vehicle headed westbound, causing significant damage to both vehicles. Both drivers are from 100 Mile House. The westbound driver suffered a broken forearm and was transported to Kamloops for further treatment. The other driver had no obvious injuries but was feeling sick, so was transported to the local hospital. Both cars had significant damage and had air bag deployment. The highway was closed briefly. The investigation is ongoing.
On February 4th 2021 at 1:36 PM, 100 Mile House RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle from a parked location near Davis Lake Road and Highway 97 near 100 Mile House BC. The complainant reports he’d had issues with the battery and had to leave the vehicle on site overnight. He returned the next day to find the truck gone. The vehicle, a white 2007 Ford F350 dually truck, had not been towed. The truck had about ¾ of a tank of fuel left. The owner felt that, with the mechanical issues, the vehicle would not get very far. There are no suspects or witnesses to this theft as of writing. The vehicle has yet to be recovered. The investigation is ongoing.
On February 7th 2021 at 08:59 AM, 100 Mile House RCMP attended to a break and enter to a seasonal property locating on Centennial Road in Bridge Lake BC. Two unknown suspects attended and broke into three travel trailers on scene and damaged two others trying to get in. A garage was entered and two ATV’s were pulled out, but could not be taken from the site due to the depth of snow. Forensic evidence was seized from the scene. This scene was related to another event further down the same road, and also a mischief file to Canada Post mailboxes by footwear impressions. The investigation is ongoing.
