On January 16th, Police and emergency crews responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 97 near Lac la Hache Station Road. The female driver of a blue Pontiac Sunfire lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway and impacted a light pole. The driver was not injured and the vehicle was towed from the scene. The cause of this collision is still under investigation.

 

On January 17th, 100 Mile RCMP received a report of a white Ford F150 being stolen from the 500 block of Birch Avenue in 100 Mile House. Information was received from the owner on January 19th that the vehicle was possibly in the 93 Mile House area. The vehicle was recovered for a forensic examination. Anyone having information about this incident is asked to call the 100 Mile RCMP or call Crime Stoppers.

 

On January 20th, 100 Mile RCMP received report of an erratic driver on Highway 97 south of 100 Mile House. A vehicle description was provided and the vehicle was located in 100 Mile House. The male driver had open liquor in the vehicle. An approved screening device was administered at the scene. The result was a “fail.” A second test was requested and administered. The result was also a “fail.” The male driver from Vancouver Island was issued a 90 day immediate roadside driving prohibition. His vehicle was towed and impounded for 30 days.

A cabin on Hurst Crescent in Deka Lake was broken into sometime between January 14th and 16th. A TV and DVD player were stolen. Two cabins in the Eagle Creek area were reported being broken into over the Christmas Holidays. Very little property was taken.
