2020-3338 – On September 23rd 2020, 100 Mile House RCMP along with Cariboo Regional Traffic Services, Conservation Officers and CVSE Inspectors completed a road check in the Canim Lake Road/Wilcox Road area near Forest Grove BC. Approximately 200 vehicles were checked with multiple violations noted. Expect these checks to be consistent throughout the area in the coming months.

 

2020-3365 – On September 25th 2020 at 11:56 AM, 100 Mile House RCMP received a report of an historical break and enter to a shed in the 91 Mile House area near town. It appeared that the shed’s lock had been broken off and it had been ransacked by the unknown suspects. There is currently no knowledge of what was taken from the shed. The investigation is ongoing.

 

2020-3373 – On September 25th 2020 at 8:34 PM, 100 Mile House RCMP attended to a collision between a SUV and a large cow along Highway 97 just north of Wright Station Road in Lac La Hache BC. The two occupants were checked by Ambulance and transported to 100 Mile Hospital with minor injuries. It appeared given the physical evidence at scene that speed was definitely a factor in the event. The investigation is concluded.

 

There were several reports of collisions involving wildlife during this reported period. 100 Mile House RCMP reminds the public to expect to see wildlife along the highways at this or any time of year and drive accordingly for your safety.

 

2020-3397 – On September 27th 2020 at 6:24 PM, 100 Mile House RCMP attended to a family disturbance in the 7000 block of Watch Lake Road near Lone Butte BC. It was reported that two family members were fighting, with the intoxicated suspect having kicked some loose material into the face of the complainant, causing light injury. The suspect was initially detained, but a friend was able to come and pick the person up, so the suspect was released from custody with no charges. There were no further issues, and the family received advice from the attending officers to further non-violent discussion in the future. This investigation is concluded.
