At approximately 2:00 am on September 19th, a Ford F350 pick-up was stolen from in front of a business in the 100 Mile Industrial Park. This vehicle was then used to smash the front door of the 108 Mile Esso in an attempt for thieves to enter and steal items from inside the store.It is believed that the Automated teller machine, cigarettes and lottery tickets were the target of this break-in. The vehicle was abandoned by the suspect when the audible alarm sounded.  The stolen vehicle was left at the scene. The investigation into this theft of vehicle and break & enter are continuing. Anyone having information about this is asked to call the 100 Mile House RCMP or call Crime Stoppers.

 

On September 19th, Police and Emergency crews responded to a two vehicle collision at the south end of the 108 Mile Ranch. The male driver of a Pontiac G5 was driving north on Highway 97, lost control of his vehicle when attempting to turn onto Easzee Drive and was pulled into the south-bound lane. His vehicle was impacted by the driver of a Chevrolet Equinox who was unable to avoid the scene. One occupant of the Equinox was taken to 100 Mile House Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Weather and road conditions were believed to be a contributing factor to this collision.

 

Sometime overnight of September 19th, a 2006 black Ford F350 was stolen from the parking lot of Sunrise Ford in 100 Mile House. The vehicle did not have license plates attached. This theft may be associated to the Break-In to the 108 Mile Esso. This vehicle has not yet been recovered.

 

On September 21st, Police and Emergency crews responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 97 just north of Lac la Hache. The driver of a Dodge pick-up truck lost control and hydro-planed within the south-bound lane and drifted into the north-bound lane. This vehicle was hit by the driver of a Ford Fusion resulting in considerable damage to both vehicles. The female driver of the north-bound vehicle was transported by ambulance to 100 Mile Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. No charges are being contemplated at this time.

 

On September 23rd, 100 Mile RCMP were called to a break and enter at the Mount Timothy Ski Resort. Some of the executive members had attended the resort and they located a male asleep in one of the buildings. They escorted the male suspect to the custody of the police where he was held and then eventually released with a Court Date in December. A charge of Break & Enter is being recommended to Crown against a 26 year old male resident of the 100 Mile area. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
