Williams Lake RCMP report that a stolen vehicle out of Williams Lake has been recovered near Merritt, BC.

On March 12, 2019, Williams Lake RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle from the Gustafson Kia Dealership.  Williams Lake Frontline officers attended and suspects were identified through video surveillance.

Early Thursday morning, RCMP Frontline officers in Merritt responded to a suspicious occurrence on the Coquihalla Highway where it was reported that 3 people were walking down the highway.  Consequently, the stolen Kia vehicle was located.

“Merritt RCMP Frontline officers have arrested 3 suspects in conjunction with the stolen vehicle, 2 males and 1 female, all from the Williams Lake area, are facing various charges,” states Cst. Joel Kooger.

Cst. Joel Kooger says, “This is another great example of the good work that Frontline Officers are doing and the collaboration between neighbouring police detachments.”

The names of the accused will not be released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
