Williams Lake RCMP and 100 Mile House RCMP were looking for a stolen truck that had fled Conservation Officers
in Williams Lake area.
The suspect stopped in Lac La Hache and dumped the stolen truck. He then stole a SUV from a
residence.
Williams Lake RCMP Crime Reduction Team patrolled from the North and 100 Mile House Detachment
officers from the South and located the stolen SUV exiting Wright Station Rd southbound on Highway 97.
Officers
converged on the vehicle and conducted a high risk take down of the lone male occupant. Highway 97 was shut
down for a short period of time to ensure public safety during the arrest.
A 31 year old male from Prince George is currently in custody awaiting a court appearance in 100 Mile House
October 9th. He is facing numerous charges including theft of vehicle X2, flight from police and numerous breaches
of probation and recognizance.
