100 Mile RCMP responded to 71 complaints and calls for service. Some highlights are attached.

On November 28th, Police and Emergency crews responded to a two vehicle collision near the 6100 block of Horse Lake-Lone Butte cut-off Road east of 100 Mile House. Preliminary information suggests that the driver of a Dodge pickup truck lost control on the roadway and was impacted by the driver of a Jeep Compass. All occupants were taken to 100 Mile Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The investigation into the cause of this collision is continuing.

 

On November 30th, 100 Mile RCMP stopped a vehicle in the 500 block of Birch Avenue. The driver appeared to be avoiding contact with police as she was unlicensed. During the investigation, a quantity of ammunition and methamphetamine were located along with a 22 caliber rifle. A number of charges are being recommended to Crown against an 18 year old female resident of 100 Mile House including possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm without a license and various Provincial driving offences. A court date of March 5th, 2019 is scheduled.

 

On November 30th, Cariboo-Chilcotin Traffic Services stopped a vehicle in the 108 Mile Ranch. The driver was known to be a prohibited driver. The male driver was released at the scene with an appearance notice for a Court date on February 5th in 100 Mile House. The vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.

 

On December 1st, 100 Mile RCMP were called about a theft from the Community Breakfast at the Valley Room. A purse and keys were stolen from inside the event and then a number of articles were stolen from the complainant’s vehicle. Several tips were received leading police to the suspect vehicle being located in the Safeway parking lot. The vehicle was towed and a search warrant was executed on the vehicle. Many of the stolen articles were found and were returned to the owner. Two female suspects were identified and the investigation into these offences is continuing. Anyone having information about these incidents is asked to call the 100 Mile RCMP and quote file number 2018-4582.

 

On December 3rd, Police and Emergency crews responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Horse Lake Road and Cedar Avenue in 100 Mile House. The driver of a Ford Focus attempted to turn from Horse Lake Road to Cedar Ave and impacted with an east-bound GMC pick-up. The male driver of the Ford Focus was issued a violation ticket for an improper turn. His vehicle was towed from the scene. There did not appear to be any significant injuries to the occupants of the vehicles.

 

CRIME STOPPERS TIPS OF THE WEEK
Sometime overnight of November 28th, a set of vehicle plates were stolen from a vehicle parked on Cedar Avenue in 100 Mile House. BC Plates MX1707 were stolen from a Blue Chevrolet Silverado.

 

Sometime overnight of November 29th unknown culprits damaged a window at the District of 100 Mile House office. The amount of loss is not known at this time.

 

Sometime overnight of November 30th, unknown culprits entered a business compound on Tatton Station Road near 100 Mile House and stole a 2009 “Big Tex” trailer. This vehicle was later recovered on December 1st on Highway 97 near 150 Mile House.
