On February 28th and March 1st, 2019, the Cariboo Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit have executed multiple search warrants on a residence situated at Windmill Crescent, Williams Lake. This investigation resulted in the arrest of a 29-year-old male who is well known to police. Evidence located during this investigation was identified as a stolen side by side, five firearms and suspected quantities of cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Two of the firearms were determined to be loaded and unsafe. The male currently remains in custody pending charges being approved and a court appearance.
Violence, weapons offences, drug trafficking and stolen property all remain strategic priorities in targeting offenders responsible for this type of behavior. We remain dedicated to holding these offenders accountable
within our court system to enhance community safety.
