Parkside Art Gallery presents the works of the works of Neil Pinkett in an exhibit titled – On a Journey.  This show will run May 17th – June 15th.  You can drop in Monday to Friday from 10 – 4  or Saturday 10 – 3 at the corner of 4th and Cedar.

Cariboo Regional District Library Presents:  Saturday Songs and Stories, a story-time for families with children under 5, but older siblings are welcome.  You can join them in the 100 mile house library program room, Saturdays from 10 to 11 am.  Bring your library card.

 

 

 

Our Farmers Market is on each Friday with lots of vendors and products from our area.  The Market will be running from 9am – 2pm.  You can find them inside and outside of the 100Mile Community Hall.

 

 

 

Spaghetti Social is being held on May 24th from 5:00 to 7:30 with dinner served until 6:30.  They will have music and a free store.  You can join them at St. Timothy’s, in the Church basement at the corner of Horse Lake and Blackstock rd.  The dinner is free and consists of spaghetti, ceaser salad and garlic bread.  There is also a vegetarian option.  For more information call the Stemete7uw’I Friendship Centre at 250-706-0385.

 

 

 

The Clinton & District Parade is on Saturday, May 25th.  Event starts at 11:00am on the Cariboo Highway.  At 1:00pm the Clinton Rodeo will commence.  There will be music by the Revelstoke Highlanders Pipe Band.  For more information you can contact Christine Rivett at 778-482-8035.

 

 

 

Jazz in the Afternoon is on May 25th This event features performances by the 100 Mile House Community Band and Cariboo Gold Dance Band.  You can join them at Martin Exeter Hall, just behind the Red Coach in on the 25th at 2pm.

 

 

 

On Sunday, May 26th come and enjoy The 10th Annual Bird and Botany Walk with Biologists Kristi Iverson and Ken Mackenzie.  This is being hosted be The Horse Lake Community Farm Cooperative.  The start time is 8:00am at The Betty Place, 1km up doman rd at the east end of Horse Lake.  For more information you can call Kristi at 396-7403 or Rob at 395-4042.

 

 

 

The Walk for Guide Dogs – by the 108 Lions Club and Pet Value  is being held on May 26th.  They will be meeting at the South Cariboo Visitor Centre.  Registration starts at 12:00pm and the walk will begin at 1:00pm.  To register you can call 250-791-5663.

 

 

 

On May 29th, come join in with the Butterfly Brushes Paint Event.  100 Mile Hospice is presenting this event.  It is fun and social.  You will get to work with Artist Kim Johnson.  $35.00 will include all your supplies all proceeds go to support 100 Mile Hospice Programs.  So, come on out and Join them on Wednesday, May 29th from 6 – 9pm @ Jakes Pub  365 97 Hwy, 100 Mile House.  Food and Drink are available for purchase starting at 5pm.  Seating is limited so please get your tickets early.  You can get tickets at 100 Mile Hospice Office, Whimsey Gifts and Donex Pharmacy.  For more info call 395-7680.

May 30th – The Age Friendly Society is having their Annual General Meeting from 1:30 to 3:00pm at the Creekside Seniors Centre located at 501 Cedar Avenue in 100 Mile House.  The AGM is an important part of the business society and it is also a celebration of what they have accomplished during the past year.  There will be entertainment by the Front Porch and and as usual, they will have light refreshments.  The event is FREE and they encourage everyone, especially members, to attend.  In order to assist with planning, they would appreciate you confirming your attendance.  You can call and leave a message at 250-791-6406.
