Friday July 19th

Quesnel’s 54th Annual BCRA Rodeo is this weekend. This rodeo weekend will reflect and honor our proud western heritage as we live our western traditions. You know it will be a top rodeo weekend when only the top cowboys and cowgirls of the British Columbia Rodeo Association compete for Championship buckles and saddles. This event starts on Friday at 9 am and runs until 5 pm on Sunday.

 

 

Quesnel’s Billy Barker Days is a family festival celebrating our gold rush heritage. The Festival features four days of entertainment for those seeking action, relaxation, fun and excitement. It runs from Thursday July 18th to July 21st. There is a parade on Saturday morning at 10 am.

Farmers Market 9:00am – 2:00pm, Come on down to the Cariboo Memorial Complex and enjoy locally made products and produce.

 

 

Saturday July 20th

Ribfest at Boitanio Park at 1 pm to 7 pm. Grab your bibs and your appetites. They will have live music and entertainment. The first sample of ribs is free for each additional sample will be $5.

 

 

Bella Coola Music Festival from Saturday, Jul 20 11:00am – Monday, Jul 22 12:00am. Bask in the pristine landscape of the BC’s Central coast while you enjoy intimate performances by award winning artist from across Canada. Our Family-oriented event boasts a diverse line up of music roots, rock, world, blue, folk and more. Children’s Festival from 12-4 pm.

 

 

Rib Fest Williams Lake

 

 

The puddle E-sports Tour is taking place at the Elks Hall from 10 am to 8 pm and cost just $25.

 

 

Sunday July 21st

McLeese Lake Farmers Market 9:00am – 1:00pm

 

 

Annual Horsefly Town-wide Yard Sale at 9:00am – 3:00pm. Maps are available at the corner store.

 

 

Monday July 22nd

Nature Fun at 9:30am -11:30am and from 1pm to 3 pm. Fuzzy Wuzzies is the theme for the week on both Monday and Tuesday.

 

 

Tuesday July 23rd

Williams Lake Wanderers on every Tuesday to Thursdays 9:15am. If you are interested in joining, then please meet at the Cariboo Memorial Complex. They do a variety of different things through out the year, from Kayaking, Hiking, Walking, Snowshoeing, Biking, Skiing. Please call to find what they will be doing today. Fitness in the Park at 6:00pm to 7:00pm. This Free Fitness class runs every Tuesday all summer long in Boitanio Park. Meet at the Gwen Ringwood Stage at 6:00pm to enjoy everything from Yoga to Belly Dancing to Zumba. For full schedule contact Cariboo Memorial Complex 250-398-7665. Wednesday July 24th

Art in Nature Adventure 8:30am -4:30pm. The theme is Fuzzie Wuzzies. This event features Art activities, exploring, observing, games

 

 

Gibraltar Mine Tour from 10:00am -4:00pm. The Williams Lake & District Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Gibraltar Mines is pleased to announce the return of our summer Gibraltar Mine Tours. Please take note that the tour takes place in an active mine site and certain dress is required for your safety. LONG PANTS CLOSED TOED SHOES AND LONG SLEEVE SHIRTS ARE MANDATORY (no sandals, shorts or tank tops/muscle shirts). People not wearing the appropriate clothing will NOT be allowed on the bus. Gibraltar Mine will provide all other necessary safety gear. It is imperative that everyone on the tour listen carefully and follow all safety instructions from the mine guide. Please bring your own snacks/lunch and beverages as there are no restaurant or concession on site. THE BUS WILL LEAVE THE TOURISM DISCOVERY CENTRE AT 10 AM SHARP AND RETURN AT APPROXIMATELY 4PM. Thursday July 25th

Performances in the Park from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The Central Cariboo Arts and Culture Society is happy to announce that Performances in the Park, the outdoor free summer concert series, will begin on Thursday, July 4th 2019 at 6:00pm and will continue each Thursday evening at the same time at the Gwen Ringwood Theatre in Williams Lake’s Boitanio Park until August 22nd, 2019. Once again, with the support of the City of Williams Lake and the Cariboo Regional District, the Central Cariboo Arts and Culture Society will be presenting this event under the management of Angela Sommer of Angelkeys Music Studio. The concert series will feature two acts each week; one from 6 pm to 6:55pm and then from 7:05 to 8:00 pm. All acts will be family friendly.
