Farmers Market 9:00am – 2:00pm. Come on down to the Cariboo Memorial Complex and enjoy locally made products and produce.

 

Nature Fun at Scout Island takes place from 9:30am -11:30am, Extreme Earth Experiments is the theme for the week

 

Metis Jamboree 10:00am – 11:00pm. $30.00 for weekend for four day. There will be having music and traditional games. There will be a bouncy castle, music, and airbrush tattoos.

 

Art Walk starts Friday, Aug 16 10:00am to Saturday, Sep 7 4:00pm. Come on out to enjoy this free event.

 

Williams Lake is hosting the Little Britches Rodeo at the stampede grounds. The fun starts at 10 am on Saturday and at 9 am on Sunday. The cost for camping for the competitors is $30 for the weekend.

 

Esket Rodeo Alkali Lake, Performance Time: Saturday & Sunday 1 pm both days. Steak dinner tickets is $10.00 for an adult and $8.00 for youth or Senior.

 

Sunday August 18th

McLeese Lake holds a farmer’s market every Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm.

 

Monday August 19th

Nature Fun at Scout Island 9:30am -11:30am and from 1 pm to 3 pm, It’s a Bug’s Life is the theme for the week. On Monday and Tuesdays.

 

Tuesday August 20th

Fitness in the Park 6:00pm -7:00pm. This Free Fitness class runs every Tuesday all summer long in Boitanio Park. Meet at the Gwen Ringwood Stage at 6:00pm to enjoy everything from Yoga to Belly Dancing to Zumba. For full schedule contact Cariboo Memorial Complex 250-398-7665. This event is subject to weather.

 

Evening Farmer’s Market from 3:00pm – 7:00pm. Come and check out this new event for this year, if you can’t make it to the regular Friday market now you can check it out every Tuesday until October 1st.

 

Williams Lake Wanderers go out and about every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, if you are interested in joining them please meet at the Cariboo Memorial Complex. They do a variety of different things through out the year, from Kayaking, Hiking, Walking, Snowshoeing, Biking, Skiing. Wednesday August 21st

Boys and Girls Club Street Party at 5:00pm – 8:00pm. This is a free event so come and enjoy this event with family and friends. Same great place, same great location, the alleyway and premises of the Williams Lake Boys & Girls Club. We are well underway in organizing this event and have some great ideas for this years Street Party. Some of these ideas entail of a petting zoo, photo booth, face painting, cotton candy machine, dunk tank, bouncy castle, airbrush tattoos and a free BBQ.

Gibraltar Mine Tour at 10:00am to 4:00pm. The Williams Lake & District Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Gibraltar Mines is pleased to announce the return of our summer Gibraltar Mine Tours. Please take note that the tour takes place in an active mine site and certain dress is required for your safety. LONG PANTS CLOSED TOED SHOES AND LONG SLEEVE SHIRTS ARE MANDATORY (no sandals, shorts or tank tops/muscle shirts). People not wearing the appropriate clothing will NOT be allowed on the bus. Gibraltar Mine will provide all other necessary safety gear. It is imperative that everyone on the tour listen carefully and follow all safety instructions from the mine guide. Please bring your own snacks/lunch and beverages as there are no restaurant or concession on site. THE BUS WILL LEAVE THE TOURISM DISCOVERY CENTRE AT 10 AM SHARP AND RETURN AT APPROXIMATELY 4PM.
