Saturday September 14th

Horsefly Salmon Festival-Saturday, Sep 14 10:00am – Sunday, Sep 15 2: 00pm.They will be having Gyptaku, dissections, invertebrate education and hopefully a First Nation table as well as guided walks along the spawning channel which will be teaming with salmon.

 

Race for Kids by Boys & Girls Club-Saturday, Sep 14 10:00am – Saturday, Sep 14 12:00am. The Boys and Girls Club of Williams Lake is hosting its fourth annual Race for Kids fundraiser. Teams of four adults do an urban adventure race in downtown Williams Lake competing in an ‘Amazing Race ‘ style event. Team in past years have had a fantastic time solving clues of where their next location is and competing in challenges along the way while helping raise funds for the Boy and Girls Club program for children and youth. There will lots of prizes and fun.

 

Harvest Dinner @ Puddle Produce Farm. Saturday, Sep 14 4:30pm – Saturday, Sep 14 11:00pm. Come on out and enjoy this locally grown dinner to celebrate the fall harvest at 5761 Macalister Road at Soda Creek.

 

Sunday September 15th

Soul to Sole trail race at McLeese Lake from 9 am to 2 pm.

McLeese Lake Farmers Market from 9 to 1 pm.

 

WL Lioness Pancake Breakfast- Sunday, Sep 15 9:30am – Sunday, Sep 15 11:30am, At the Seniors Activity Centre and all proceeds go to the Hough Memorial.

 

Community Engagement Session # The North at 1:30pm. Join us for a discussion on Standing Up for Rural Communities. The North Matters is a Citizen Advocacy Organization standing up for community’s in rural British Columbia.

Williams Lake walking group meets every Monday, Wednesday, Friday if you would like to join them then please call Chris at 250-392-2271.

 

Tuesday September 17th

Evening Farmer’s Market every Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00pm. Come and check out this new event for this year, if you can’t make it to the regular Friday market now you can check it out every Tuesday until October 1st.

 

Williams Lake Wanderers 9:15am, if you are interested in joining, then please meet at the Cariboo Memorial Complex. They do a variety of different things through out the year, from Kayaking, Hiking, Walking, Snowshoeing, Biking, Skiing. Today they will be walking at Lemon Lake.  On Wednesday they will be travelling to Mount Timothy for a bike ride, this is, and extended day so please bring your lunch. On Thursday they will be heading out to the Tourism Discovery Centre for the Signal Point walk.
