It’s hard to believe that fall is almost here. Even though M+S tires with 3.5mm of tread are the minimum requirement for winter driving in B.C. Mountain/snowflake tires are considered the best for driving the Mtn. passes in BC such as the Coquihalla and Malahat.
For select highways, including mountain passes and rural routes in high snowfall areas, the date has been extended until April 30 to account for early spring snowfall and this includes Cariboo Hwy 97.
It’s best to make an appointment asap to insure you get your tires changed over before October 1st in the Cariboo to avoid the $109 fine.
