Congratulations to the Peter Skene Ogden Boys Soccer Team won the silver medal at the 5 team Pemberton Secondary Red Devils Invitational last the weekend. They lost to hosts Pemberton 2-1 in Saturday’s final. Florian Holzapfel gave PSO a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick heading into half time.
“I was very impressed with how the guys battled all weekend. They have a lot of toughness and grit to go along with skill.” said coach Sean William. “I think with this group we can go into these next couple tournaments looking to win them and not just participate.”
Max Holzapfel was named the team’s Most Valuable Player. In the other matches PSO defeated Hope Secondary 5-1, Merritt Secondary 2-0 and Mount Currie 2-0. Up next for the team is a tournament in Hope October 4th & 5th and in Merritt October 18th & 19th. Good luck this season from Cariboo Radio.
