On October 10th 2019, 100 Mile House RCMP received a report of mischief to mailboxes located in the 105 Mile area along Back Valley Road. There appeared to be some damage to a module, but no access was gained to the associated boxes. There are no suspects or witnesses to this event. File 2019-3776 refers.
On October 10th 2019 at 1106 PM, 100 Mile House RCMP attended to a report of a break and enter in progress along Telqua Drive in the 108 Ranch area. Initial reports were of some witnesses seeing lights moving around the yard and inside the residence with no one being home. Checks of the residence revealed the property owners at home having some power issues. 100 Mile House RCMP greatly appreciates neighbours looking out for each other. This investigation is concluded.
On October 11th 2019 at 1110 PM, 100 Mile House RCMP and our local RCMP Central Cariboo Traffic Services came across a stolen vehicle parked at a local convenience store within 100 Mile House BC. One adult female was taken into custody. The vehicle had been stolen out of the Clinton area earlier the same day. The female was released from custody to appear at court in 100 Mile House on a later date. The investigation is ongoing. File 2019-3806 refers.
On October 13th at 816 PM, 100 Mile House RCMP attended to a report of a break and enter to a storage room located in the Lakewood Inn in 100 Mile House BC. Entry was gained from a rear door to the building. A male, described as Caucasian with a beard, stole approximately 10 bottles of unopened liquor and fled the area. The investigation is ongoing. On October 14th at 1145 AM, 100 Mile House RCMP attended to a reported single vehicle motor vehicle accident along Highway 24 near Lone Butte BC. Upon attendance, 100 Mile members located a single truck towing a low-bed trailer loaded with an excavator in the ditch. Further investigation revealed the truck and excavator were possibly stolen out of Kelowna. The reported lone occupant of the truck had fled the area. Some illicit drugs and Cannabis were located in the cab of the truck. All vehicles were seized pending further action. The investigation is ongoing. File 2019-3835 refers.
On October 14th 2019 at 433 PM, 100 Mile House RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence along Highway 97 north of Lac La Hache BC. A 1999 Grey GMC Yukon with expired BC plates (AA957D) had been taken from a residence. The investigation is ongoing. File 2019-3838 refers.
On October 15th at 1125 AM, 100 Mile House RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle from Prime Country Meats along Highway 97 north of Lac La Hache BC. Unknown suspect(s) had entered through the front gate of the business and stolen the work vehicle, a 2002 Ford F250 truck, from that location sometime after staff left the business on Saturday afternoon. No other damage or items were taken from the business. This vehicle has already been recovered in Williams Lake RCMP Detachment area. This investigation is ongoing. File 2019-3850 refers.
There were a few accidents reported to 100 Mile House RCMP over the long weekend where people reported having struck or been struck by animals, primarily deer, along several of our roadways. 100 Mile House RCMP remind residents to be very aware of any animal activity along roadways and take further precautions when driving by animals – slow down, use caution and give them some space prior to passing the domestic or wild animals.
