Coats for All 2019 is looking to Give warmth to others. Drop off used winter coats, snowsuits, toques, mitts and scarves to the 100 Mile Laundromat (located in Owen Square, across from the library). If possible, please wash items and label them as – washed. You can drop off items between the 1st and 30th of November. People can pick up needed items between November 5th and 30th at Loaves and Fishes, 100 Mile Food Bank, The Family Enrichment Centre, South Cariboo Health Centre, Canim Lake and Canoe Lake Bands and the Stemete7uw’I Friendship Centre. Old Starts Hockey Tourney is on at the South Cariboo Rec Centre on Friday, November 8th at 5:45, Saturday, November 9th at 8:30 am and Sunday, November 10th at 9:00 am. November 11th Remembrance Day Ceremonies will take place in Lac La Hache at 10:30am at Pioneer Cemetery, McKinley Drive. For people in Interlakes/Deka Lake area at the Mountain Spruce Community Events Centre at 10:30 am. They ask that you bring a chair if you wish to sit. The Royal Canadian Legions Branch #260 is inviting people to take part in celebrating Remembrance Day in 100 Mile House. There will be hot dogs and hot chocolate available at the hall following the service. The Royal Canadian Legion will also be hosting an open house luncheon. The parade begins at 10:15 am, the luncheon will follow at noon. The parade will commence on West side of Birch Avenue across from the elementary school for the parade and the Legion is at 933 Alder Avenue for the luncheon. The Forest Grove Legion Branch #261 has organized a procession from the front of the Legion, and it will go back to the Cenotaph. They will begin at 10:45am at the Forest Grove Legion.
