On November 8th 2019 starting at around 07:30 AM, 100 Mile House RCMP responded to approximately 12 complaints of thefts from motor vehicles within 100 Mile House BC. Most of the vehicles entered had been left unlocked by the owners, and a number of smaller items were taken – flashlight(s), small amounts of coins and in one case a wallet with identification etc. The debit card taken was used twice in the early morning hours within 100 Mile House. In some cases, video and photographs were obtained from home security systems in use on some of the properties. Police are still investigating these incidents. Once the investigation is further along, Police may release the still images from those videos moving forward to assist with identification of the suspect(s).
100 Mile House RCMP would like to remind the public to secure your vehicle properly every time after use and to not leave valuables – especially identification or financial cards – in your vehicle.
