Update!!

On 2020-01-10 at approximately 0925 hrs, the vehicle from this incident was recovered by 100 Mile House RCMP along Back Valley Road near Buffalo Creek BC after being seen by a witness parked along the roadway. The vehicle had been painted black by the unknown suspect(s), who also attempted to light the vehicle on fire after it was parked, but failed to do so.

One plate, LH 9225, is still outstanding and considered stolen. The vehicle has been seized for forensic examination, but evidence was located in the cab of the vehicle which may lead to identifying a possible suspect(s). The business owner has been updated and the investigation is ongoing.

100 Mile House RCMP wishes to thank the witness and the public who shared the media post over social media and likely led to the quick recovery of the vehicle.

On January 9th at 0744 AM, 100 Mile House RCMP attended to a reported break and enter which occurred overnight at DL Timber Technologies Ltd located at 4273 Highway 97 in Lac La Hache BC. The owner reported that the front gate had been heavily damaged and a grey 2006 Ford F-350 truck with a customized flat deck was taken from the business. It appears that the vehicle sustained some front end damage as the unknown thief drove the vehicle out of the yard and through the front gate, causing some damage to the front driver’s side bumper. There likely was a second vehicle, possibly a another truck, and another person involved in the theft given the evidence at scene. While one of the outbuildings was entered, nothing else appears to have been taken from the large work site.

The grey Ford F-350 has a very customized rear flat deck, a large full tidy tank, a trailer hitch and a modified front bumper. The licence plates on the vehicle, BC marker LH 9225, were also taken. Please find attached a series of photos showing the unusual characteristics of this vehicle.

If anyone has information about this break and enter or the location of the stolen vehicle, please contact your local RCMP Detachment immediately or contact Crime Stoppers. Do not attempt to approach or stop the vehicle yourself if located.
