Why Cariboo Radio
Cariboo Radio is an online Cariboo Radio Station that’s social media driven and serves the Cariboo Chilcotin region. Our goal has always been to create jobs and promote the Cariboo Chilcotin. We broadcast live on weekday mornings and through our social media network and free smart phone apps, we share current weather and road condition information & updates. We also help to promote Cariboo Chilcotin community events, special events, food banks, non-profit organizations and volunteer groups by spinning over 400, 30 to 60 second infomercials a week on Cariboo Radio. That’s over 1,600 locally voiced infomercials a month about events and important community!
Cariboo Radio is locally owned & operated, born and raised in the Cariboo and is the Only Cariboo Radio Station in the Cariboo Chilcotin that’s 100% voiced by local people!
We play a Top 40 Hot Adult Contemporary music format and model our station after top American radio stations such as Seattle’s KPLZ-FM and San Diego’s KMYI-FM. We refresh the Top 40 weekly, adding the new Top 40 spins in North America every Monday morning.
Cariboo Radio travels around the Cariboo Chilcotin with our sound production company “New Age Entertainment” to events and broadcast live from them. Cariboo Radio has been providing sound reinforcement and lighting at events and on stages across the Cariboo Chilcotin since 2006. Watch for the Regency Chrysler Cruzer, Sunrise Ford Community Cruzer and the Cariboo Caboose at an event near you.
