Soon after a fire that almost leveled Barkerville on September 16th, 1868, the Williams Creek Fire Brigade was formed and the Theatre Royal was built. The Theatre Royal entertainers have been keeping the great songs from the mid 1800’s alive ever since.

The Barkerville Theatre Royal “Phoenix Tour” at the Martin Exeter Hall Friday night was very entertaining. The show took us back to 1868 and earlier.

We would like to thank the Barkerville Theatre Royal for an amazing show and Chris Nickless former publisher of the 100 Mile Free Press for his help in bringing the troop to the Martin Exeter Hall.

If you missed the show last night, the Theatre Royal troop plan to return to 100 Mile House in 2020.
