On Nov. 13th at 11:25am the Williams Lake RCMP were called out to a single vehicle MVI on Highway 20 at the Farewell Canyon turn off. A logging truck heading east crossed the oncoming traffic lane and rolled into a deep ditch; trapping the driver in his cab.
The preliminary investigation is showing the incident was caused by a malfunctioning steering tire on the tractor. With the assistance of several good Samaritan’s the driver was pulled from the wreck with serious but non life threatening injuries and transported by helicopter to the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
