This year, the money raised will go toward the purchase of urology equipment that will enable people in our community to have more tests done in town instead of needing to travel to an out of area hospital.
Parkside’s 11th Annual Christmas Bazaar is ongoing right up to December 24th. The Bazaar will be featuring their Best Artisans and Creative Makers. You can find them at the corner of 4th and Cedar. The 28th Annual Memory Tree Celebration – Shining Bright with Memories is on. Choose a bulb to celebrate your memories and keep your memory glowing brightly during the holiday season. You can get your Bulbs at Save On Foods on December 3, 4 and 5th from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Bulbs will also be available at Donex (back counter), and BJ’s Donuts and at the Ceremony on December 6th. The Bulbs are by donation. All Hospice Programs are Free Thanks to Donations and Community Fundraising. The 100 Mile House Wranglers face off at home against the Princeton Posse, start time is 7:00 pm on December 7th You can join them at the South Cariboo Rec Centre. Come on out and Cheer them on!
The Annual Rotary Seniors Dinner is on Saturday, December 7th at the 100 Mile Community Hall. Doors open at 5:00 pm, Dinner is a 6:00 pm. Free tickets are available on November 25th at New Roads Nutrition – 475 Birch Avenue. You must have a ticket to attend.
Breakfast with Santa is on Saturday, December 7th in the Valley Room (behind the Red Coach Inn) It will run from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. This is a free event for Babies to young adults and their caregivers. Santa Claus will arrive at 9:00 am and stay till all have told Santa what they want for Christmas. There will be Pancakes, Sausage and Goodie Bags!
108 Mile is having Breakfast with Santa. To pre-register call 778-485-5330. The event will take place at the 108 Mile Hall on December 7th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
There is a Winter Bazaar at 108 Elementary on Saturday, December 7th. This Annual Bazaar features local vendors selling hand-crafted creations for your holiday shopping needs! Note that the event is being held the same day as the 108 Mile Lion’s Breakfast with Santa so families can make a day of it. There will be a concession, face painting, 50/50 raffle and raffle tickets for the annual Holiday Gift Baskets.

Shows are on at 7:00pm December 10 to December 14th and 1:00 pm at the Martin Exeter Hall, behind The Lodge.
Remax is hosting their Annual Food Drive – Watch for the paper bag in the December 12th Cariboo Connector. Fill it up with nonperishable food items from home or your favorite grocery store. You can drop it off Monday thru Saturday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm at the Re/Max 100 Office or, stop by and see us at Save-On-Foods Friday, Dec 13th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm or Saturday, December 14th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
