Cariboo Regional District Library Presents:  Saturday Songs and Stories, a story-time for families with children under 5, but older siblings are welcome.  You can join them in the 100 Mile house library program room, Saturdays from 10 to 11 am.  Bring your library card..

Coats for All 2019 is looking to Give warmth to others.  Drop off used winter coats, snowsuits, toques, mitts and scarves to the 100 Mile Laundromat (located in Owen Square, across from the library).  If possible, please wash items and label them as – washed.  You can drop off items between the 1st and 30th of November.  People can pick up needed items between November 5th and 30th at Loaves and Fishes, 100 Mile Food Bank, The Family Enrichment Centre, South Cariboo Health Centre, Canim Lake and Canoe Lake Bands and the Stemete7uw’I Friendship Centre.  For more information you can call Annie at 250.395.6054.

Lions Dinner & Auction is on Saturday, November 2nd at the 100 Mile Community Hall.  Doors open at 5:30 pm – Dinner is at 6:30 pm – Auction is at 7:30 pm.  Admission is $25 pp – Door Prize $200 in Chamber Bucks (you must be present to win)  You can pick up your tickets at Whimsey Gifts, LifeCycle Financial and any 100 Mile Lions Member.

Free Skate.  Bring the family to the South Cariboo Rec Centre for a free public skate, sponsored by Remax.  That’s on Sunday, November 3rd between 1:15 and 2:45.

Ode to Autumn – Dinner and Auction brought to you by the Horse Lake Community Farm Coop.  Come celebrate the Autumn Harvest with us & share in a fine dining experience, on Saturday, November 2nd.  The Menu will feature fresh, local ingredients prepared by guest chef Jodi-Marie Ballinger.  Guest speaker, Heather Pritchard of Foodlands Cooperative of BC, Live entertainment featuring Terra U (Trish Chung and Friends), Silent and live auctions (with Gus Horn), Cash bar with Jackson’s Social Club and Brew House will all be a part of this event.  You can join them at Creekside Seniors Centre located at 501 Cedar Avenue, beside the Ambulance Station.  Doors open at 5:00 pm, Dinner served at 6:00 pm.  Seating is limited, book your place in advance.  Tickets are $30.00 pp and you can get them at Higher Ground, Didi’s and Jackson’s.   For more information you can call Barb at 250.706.7680.

Christmas Craft Fair and Bazaar in Lac La Hache at the Lac La Hache Community Hall on November 2nd and 3rd.

Ski Swap and Sale – 100 Mile Nordics is on Sunday, November 3rd from 10 am to 3 pm.  This annual ski swap will take place again this year!  The schedule is subject to change DROP OFF for used gear to sell is Saturday, November 2nd from 11 am to 1 pm at our lodge at 500 Ainsworth Rd. This is a great time to pick up your seasons pass and re-unite with all your Nordics tribe.

 

The 100 Mile House Wranglers have a couple of home games this week.  They will face off against the Summerland Steam at 7pm November 1st and will Take on the Chase Heat on Tuesday, November 5th.  The Tuesday game starts at 6pm both games will take place at the South Cariboo Rec Centre.

Interlakes Community Centre is holding a Holiday Craft Fair on November 9th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  There will be 30 tables of Holiday gift ideas, door prizes and a concession.  For more information you can contact Maggie at 250.593.4869
