Moonlit Starry Nights are on and shining bright! You can still be a Health Sponsor by purchasing a star for $50.00. If you want to be a Health Sponsor please donate to Bag 399, 100 Mile House, B.C. This year, the money raised will go toward the purchase of urology equipment that will enable people in our community to have more tests done in town instead of needing to travel to an out of area hospital.
The 100 Mile House Library invites you to join them in a Movie Day. The movie will be put on in the Library Program Room on Saturday, November 30th at 1:30. The movie is yet to be announced. For more information call 250.395.2332.
Parkside’s 11th Annual Christmas Bazaar is ongoing right up to December 24th. The Bazaar will be featuring their Best Artisans and Creative Makers. You can find them at the corner of 4th and Cedar. Christmas Bazaar at St. Timothy’s on Saturday, November 30th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. There will be four tables of bakes goods, crafts and other goods at this annual event. You can join them at St. Timothy’s Anglican Church at the corner of Blackstock and Horse Lake Rd.
The Heritage Market will be happening in the Clydesdale Barn. There will be arts, crafts, preserves, food and more. It will be held on November 30th and December 1st from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the 108 Heritage Site.
Junior &18 Fun Bonspiel is taking place Saturday, November 30th and Sunday, December 1st for Super Novice or Novice – there will be 2 games Saturday $10 per curler or $40 per team. Intermediate and advanced will play 3 games Saturday and Sunday at a cost of $15 per curler or $60 per team. The 28th Annual Memory Tree Celebration – Shining Bright with Memories is on. Choose a bulb to celebrate your memories and keep your memory glowing brightly during the holiday season. You can get your Bulbs at Save On Foods on December 3, 4 and 5th from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Bulbs will also be available at Donex (back counter), and BJ’s Donuts and at the Ceremony on December 6th. The Bulbs are by donation. All Hospice Programs are Free Thanks to Donations and Community Fundraising. The Tree Lighting Ceremony is on December 6th at 6:00 pm in the Hospital Cafeteria – Fischer Place Entrance. Sponsored by 100 Mile Hospice Society. For more information you can call 250.395.7680.
The Annual Rotary Seniors Dinner is on Saturday, December 7th at the 100 Mile Community Hall. Doors open at 5:00 pm, Dinner is a 6:00 pm. Free tickets are available on November 25th at New Roads Nutrition – 475 Birch Avenue. You must have a ticket to attend.
Breakfast with Santa is on Saturday, December 7th in the Valley Room (behind the Red Coach Inn) It will run from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. This is a free event for Babies to young adults and their caregivers. Santa Claus will arrive at 9:00 am and stay till all have told Santa what they want for Christmas. There will be Pancakes, Sausage and Goodie Bags!
There is a Winter Bazaar at 108 Elementary on Saturday, December 7th. This Annual Bazaar , features local vendors selling hand-crafted creations for your holiday shopping needs! Note that the event is being held the same day as the 108 Mile Lion’s Breakfast with Santa so families can make a day of it. There will be a concession, face painting, 50/50 raffle and raffle tickets for the annual Holiday Gift Baskets.
