The Quesnel Rod and Gun Club is a fun and safe place where people can come out to enjoy the wonderful sport of shooting. They have many options at their facility including a 500 Meter Rifle Range, Trap Range, Black Powder Range, Pistol Range, Cowboy Action Range, and a fully furnished Indoor Range with 15 shooting bays. The Quesnel & District Hospice Palliative Care Association is looking for help with their butterfly project! Each year they host a Christmas Remembrance tree event. People who are  missing loved ones can stop by, write a note for their loved one, hang it on the tree, take a symbolic butterfly and turn on a light bulb. If you or someone you know can crochet and is willing to lend a hand they could really use your help in making the 1000 they’re going for. If you would like a pattern on paper or to be supplied the yarn, please email Suzannah Meir at Suzannah.Meir@northernhealth.ca.  You could also call or text her at  250-991-1244.

 

Portrait Painting in Oils

Paint a 12 x 16 oil portrait from your own reference image over 2 days. Small group size, each participant will have their own work table. No experience is necessary, but some drawing experience is helpful. They will use M. Graham walnut oil paints, and walnut oil as their medium which have very little, if any odour. Are you looking for something fun and exciting this spring break for your Kindergarten -12yr old? If so, then look no further! The kids will take part in cooking, crafts, pottery, sports and swimming! All our camps are led by trained and dedicated staff with an emphasis on active learning and fun! Puppeteer/Ventriloquist Workshop

Children, youth, and adults will use their creative input throughout this fun workshop! Kellie Haines will help you build your puppet, come up with its voice and learn the movements. 6-12 year old (with an adult) 9:00 – 12:00 and 13 & up 1:00 – 4:00. Partial bursaries are available.
