Mother Sun band touches down in Williams Lake, with special guest Gabriel Holmes. Live at the Central Cariboo Arts Centre, Friday, February 21st, doors open at 7:00 pm, show to get going at 7:30 pm. Tickets for the event are available at The Bean Counter, Open Book and Red Shreds. Buy your tickets early and save: $15 pre-sale, $20 at the door. All ages welcome! Mother Sun’s rad tunes mingle psych rock, jazz elements, punk and surf tones and always take you on a journey. Caramel Clouds, their debut album, was released late in 2019, is musically steeped in nostalgia and good vibes.

Toonie Skate takes place at the Cariboo Memorial Complex from 12:30t o 2 pm.

Saturday February 22nd

Tumble and Play from 10:00am – 11:30am. Come on down to Marie Sharpe for a free play time with mats and balls, for ages 0 to 5-year-old.

Adult Cross-Country Ski Lessons from 10:00am to 11:30am at Bull Mtn. We are so fortunate to have Gary Carlson visiting and has agreed to put on two ski lessons. If you’re looking to improve your technique these sessions are a great opportunity. Limited space and just a few spots left. The Wells International Gourmet Ski has been the main fundraiser for WATS for over 10 years. Participants get to experience a few of the things that make Wells great: the skiing, the company, the gorgeous natural setting, and the delicious food produced in our humble kitchens!Ski as much or as little as you would like, eat fantastic International cuisine at four food stations along the way, and join us for hot drinks and desserts at the finale. Get dressed up in your most ridiculous costumes for a chance to win great prizes! Library Family Film Matinee starts at 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the Williams Lake Library. February’s Family Film Matinee selection is “Paddington 2” starring Hugh Bonneville and Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington. Based on the books by Michael Bond, this sequel has Paddington looking to get a gift for his Aunt Lucy’s 100th. birthday only to be thwarted by a villainous actor played with relish and panache by Hugh Grant. This film has all the heart, joy and magic of its predecessor and is full of adventure and fun. It is also rated General, so good for the whole family. The film will be screened in the library’s Program Room at 3 pm on Saturday February 22nd. and, as always, snacks and refreshments will be provided. And all for the marvelous price of no money at all. That’s right, free! Looking forward to seeing you.
