LCSS Winter Art Show runs from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Our High School Winter Art Show is near! Opening night.. Friday Jan 24th 5-8 pm in the Commons of Lake City Secondary School, 640 Carson drive. Students will be performing live music for your entertainment as you wander through the show. Selected artwork, henna tattoos, pizza and refreshments will be on sale as well. Hope to see many of you there to support the artists of LCSS, admission is free.

Saturday January 25th

WLYP Mount Timothy Ski Area at 7:30am -3:30pm. Join the WLYPN for a day trip up to check out Mt. Timothy Ski Area. Skiing, Snowboarding, Snowshoeing and Tubing are available! With an on-site restaurant to sit down and grab a bite to eat. We have secured a Group Discount for WLYPN members if we hit a minimum of 12 people attending. We are going to limit it to 25 people initially for our group outing. May open more spots based on demand so reserve your spot! CARPOOL NEEDED! If you have space for some Car Pooling – Please indicate in a post below how many spaces, you have available. If you need a ride up to the Mountain. Please indicate in a post below. BCBRA is taking place at Eagle View Equestrian Centre at 1 pm to 3 pm

Cariboo Chilcotin Bee Club AGM & Stock Ordering starts at 1:00pm and goes to 3:00pm. Please join us as we welcome a new season of beekeeping. Our club will give updates, review educational opportunities for beeks and the public, organize queen & nuc orders, and hold elections. Attendance is free. Coffee & tea provided. Potluck sweets encouraged!

Robbie Burns Night from 6:00pm to 11:00pm. Celebrate Robbie Burns Night. Tickets: $35 – Available at the Legion. Dance to the music of the Markabillies

Bowling Tournament – 8 game doubles start at 7 pm at the Cariboo Bowling Lanes

Sunday January 26th

26th Annual Dog Sled Mail Run. This event starts in Quesnel on Friday and runs to Sunday afternoon in Barkerville. You can participate in the Dash in Barkerville on Sunday

Family Fest takes place from 10:00am to 2:00pm. A Lot of fun for your little ones with resources for the parents.

Free Skate runs from 1:45pm to 3:15pm at the Cariboo Memorial Complex. Free Skate is sponsored by the Lions Club

Tuesday January 28th   

The Williams Lake Wanderers meet every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the Cariboo Memorial Complex parking lot at 9:15 am.

 

Story Time at the Library from 10:30am to 11:30am for ages 2 to 5.

Wednesday January 29th

Ladies Drop in Colouring from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, at the Women’s Contact Society 51 A Fourth Ave Williams Lake BC. Supplies and refreshments are provided.

Waste Wise Clothing Swap from 3:00pm to 8:00pm on both Wednesday and Thursday. The Conservation Society is ready to host another clothing swap! These events are SUPER busy, but fun. We have a few changes from last year, so please read on! If you haven’t been to a clothing swap yet, you should come! The goal is textile waste diversion, and we do this by bringing a bag of quality used clothing and/or accessories, donating them to the clothing swap, and then you can “shop” through everyone else’s donations and bring home what you want. It’s guilt and money-free shopping: doesn’t get much better than that!

WHAT YOU CAN BRING: – all women’s/men’s/children’s clothing (bras ok: no underwear, please!)- shoes and accessories like purses, belts, hats- winter clothing like coats, mittens, toques

A Funny thing happened on the way to the Forum is playing January 25th , January 29th to February 1st Doors open at 7 pm and Something familiar, something peculiar, something for everyone, a comedy tonight! An uproariously funny musical comedy set in ancient Rome.
