On November 17th 2020 at 04:23 AM, 100 Mile House RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter in progress in the 300 block of Moore Avenue in the Exeter Industrial Park area of 100 Mile House BC. The complainant reported locating an Indigenous adult male in the compound and was having a physical  confrontation with the subject.

 

Police arrived on scene and took the suspect into custody without incident. There were no injuries to any parties on scene. Entry into the compound had been by using bolt cutters to cut the fence at the rear of the property. Several vehicles in the compound had been rummaged through. The thief had been locating attempting to hide in one of the vehicles. Incidental to arrest, Police located several rounds of ammunition along with possible stolen ID and vehicle registrations in his possession from the Kamloops area. The male, who is originally from 100 Mile House, is now living in the Kamloops area.

 

The male was later released on conditions of no go 100 Mile House as well as no contact with employees of the associated businesses. No possess break in tools are also part of the release conditions. The suspect, who cannot be yet identified due to no information (charges) having yet been sworn by Crown Counsel, is due in 100 Mile House Provincial Court in March 2021. The investigation is ongoing.
