100 Mile House RCMP Update March 27th 2018 6:pm

100 Mile RCMP responded to 85 complaints and calls for service. Some highlights are attached.

On March 20th, Cariboo-Chilcotin Traffic Services stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 97 at Spring Lake Road. The male driver displayed symptoms of liquor consumption. An approved screening device was administered at the scene. The result was a “Fail.” The driver requested a second test and the result was also a “Fail.” The driver was issued a 90 day immediate roadside driving prohibition. His vehicle was towed and impounded for 30 days. The driver was also issued a violation ticket for failing to wear his seatbelt.

 

On March 21st, an off-duty 100 Mile Detachment officer observed a male, believed to be a suspended driver, operating a Ford pick-up at the 108 Mile Ranch. Other officers attended the location and the driver was confirmed to be suspended from driving. He was issued an appearance notice for Court in 100 Mile in June. The vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.

 

On March 22nd, 100 Mile RCMP stopped a vehicle on Exeter Truck Route in 100 Mile House. The male driver displayed symptoms of liquor consumption. An approved screening device was administered at the scene and the result was a “Warn.” The driver was issued a 24 hour driving suspension. The driver was also issued violation tickets for driving without a license, driving without insurance and not having a front plate.

 

On March 25th, 100 Mile RCMP stopped the driver of a GMC pick-up in the 103 Mile subdivision as there were some indication from witnesses that the male driver had been drinking. The driver displayed symptoms of liquor consumption. An approved screening device was administered at the scene. The result was a “Fail.” A second test was administered and the result was also a “Fail.” The driver was issued a 90 day immediate roadside driving prohibition. His vehicle was towed and impounded for 30 days.

 

CRIME STOPPERS TIPS OF THE WEEK
Sometime overnight of March 25th, a vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Lakewood Inn had all four tires slashed. The amount of damage is not known at this time.
