The owners of the 108 Golf Resort announced Nov. 25th the new management team that will be taking over the operations for 2020. The new team will be led by the former golf pro shop manager, Lee Hansen. Hansen will assume the role of Operations Manager for the entire resort, effective Dec. 1, 2019.

“I am very proud of the team that has gotten us to this point in our re-development of the 108 Golf Resort business”, said President Jessica Liu. She added, “our team  have done so well in helping us get through the first two years of  our ownership, surviving historic wildfires and summer smoke conditions, we have appreciated the efforts of former GM Andrew Cuthbertson, who has helped us recruit for the future, and set the stage for the next phase of our re-development while Mr. Cuthbertson moves to Quesnel to be closer to his son”.

108 Golf Resort team has also confirmed an additional $500,000 in improvements to their South Cariboo resort, including investments into new winter snow guest amenities & services. Exciting news for the 108 Mile Ranch and south Cariboo community is the new tube run and snow park. The new tube run will be ready to go as soon as there’s enough snow on the golf course. Operations Manager Lee Hansen said, “The first phase of the park will be a 420′ foot run and the ability to pull 20 tubes back up to the top at a time but we have a total of 40 tubs available for the public” The team plans to extend the run in the future to 1100′ feet and a second lift will be added to the run. The cost will be only $20 a day which is very reasonable considering there’ll be a short commute for many to take in the family fun. The new tube run is located just behind resort building and will also feature an ice rink and fire pit for people to warm up.

The Hanger restaurant is being re-branding as the 108 Steak House and should be open in early December; just in time for the holiday season. Lee Hansen said, “We’re very excited to be opening a steak house in the 108 Mile Ranch, which be a great addition to the 108 Golf Resort.” The kitchen and restaurant are being upgraded with new appliances and furniture along with a big screen golfing simulator on the south side of the restaurant. Lee Hansen, “If people just want to enjoy a drink and appetizer, they can sit in the lounge area and play the golf simulator that will feature pro golf courses from around the world.”

Working with Mr. Hansen & managing the Food & Beverage operations is Red Seal Chef Andrew Devost from Victoria who is now a permanent resident of 108 Mile Ranch. Devost has over 30 years in the culinary industry and you can expect a whole new menu!
