The United Way is bringing in Corey Hirsch, Vancouver Canuck alumnus goalie “now colour commentator for the Canucks” to the 100 Mile House Wranglers game vs the Revelstoke Grizzlies.
The Wranglers play the Grizzlies Monday February 18th at 4:pm. Hirsch will be dropping the puck to start the game.
The United Way will also be holding a pre-game Tailgate Party with a meet ‘n greet with Corey from 2:30 until game time at 4:00 p.m. There’ll be hot chocolate and treats, plus door prizes including game ticket giveaways.
Corey is a great speaker – he will be telling his amazing story of mental illness, resiliency and reducing the stigma around mental health issues during the first intermission. He will also be available during the second intermission for autographs and chats with the fans and will have a private meet ‘n greet with the hockey players after the game.
Corey Hirsch is a retired NHL goaltender that is currently working for Sportsnet as a commentator on Vancouver Canucks radio broadcasts. He spent the majority of his National Hockey League career with the Vancouver Canucks.
