The University of Northern BC’s Quesnel River Research Centre at Likely will be hosting an Open House on Saturday 29th September.

Researchers from UNBC, UBC, the University of Lethbridge and Department of Fisheries and Oceans will present.

They’ll be discussing their latest findings relating to interactions between the tailings released into Quesnel Lake from the Mount Polley Mine in 2014.

Circulations within the lake, and aspects of its ecosystems.

Presentations will begin at 10 am, followed by an extended Q&A forum, and lunch.

The centre is just past the Bullion Pit Mine on the Likely Road – full details on how to get here are available at http://unbc.ca/qrrc, or phone 250 790 2031.
