Saturday July 27th
From 10:30 to 12 pm the Williams Lake’s first ever pride parade! Head over to Boitanio Park after the to participate in some fun activities from 12 to 4 pm. There will be food stands, vendors, information booths, a bouncy castle, games, and entertainment. Come and learn about how you can help protect Williams Lake from invasive plants and animals! Admission is free with a non-perishable donation to support Food Drive.
Come on out and join us at the first-ever Williams Lake Pride! Dinner Party on July 27th at 5 PM. Dinner service will take place between 5PM and 7 PM. There’s no better way to take care of the appetite you’ll build up during the day’s Pride! Parade and Pride! in the Park events! The dinner will be hosted at the Overlander Pub and will include great door prizes, a silent auction with amazing prizes, and live music. This event is being hosted as part of the inaugural Williams Lake Pride! in the Puddle festivities!

Bugs Need Hug in 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Well not really. Bit it’s sure fun to find and learn about the spineless majority and their important ecological role. Join Environmental Educator Kim Zalay and Bill Gilroy on a bug safari. Discover some of the less obvious residents of Scout Island as we explore under logs and rocks,sweeps the grasses and undertake a shrub shake.

Evening Farmers’ Market is taking place at the Cariboo Memorial Complex from 3 pm to 7 pm.
Fitness in the Park 6:00pm – 7:00pm. This Free Fitness class runs every Tuesday all summer long in Boitanio Park. Performances in the Park features Tracy McNeil and Dan Parsons and Borderband. Tracy McNeil and Dan Parsons are Australian award-winning songwriters Tracy McNeil & Dan Parsons have joined forces to deliver their songs as a dynamic duo – delivering classic Americana with a healthy dose of shimmer, they make it easy to forget that it’s just the two of them onstage. Dan and Tracy are two highly acclaimed songwriters and will be accompanying each other through two sets of their respective material. Together, they captivate audiences of all ages through their impressive vocal harmonies, deft musicality and dynamic performances. Classic Americana with a healthy dose of shimmer – they make it easy to forget that it’s just the two of them onstage. Borderband plays a folkish, bluesy, rockish, countryish blend of originals and covers with great harmonies and are sure to get your toes tapping. Cody‘s Bannock, Taylor Made Cakes, Big Dog Hot Dogs and the Fennel Cup will be on hand with bannock, sandwiches, pizza, hot dogs, cupcakes, sweets and hot east Indian food and burgers available for everyone during the performances. There will be an Art in the Park kid’s corner, hosted by the Community Arts Council of Williams Lake as in previous seasons providing art projects for the little ones.
Scout Island is holding Honour the riversheds of the Fraser at the Williams Lake Community Dinner. It is a unique dinner featuring food, culture and education.
