International Women’s Day Wellness Fair at 10 am in the Pioneer Complex.  Each individual’s concept of Wellness is unique. Join us at the Pioneer Complex on Saturday March 9 2019 from 10am to 4pm to celebrate the diverse aspects of self care that our community has to offer. Tables available for vendors to rent for $10.00.  Any vendors selling food must have applicable permits. Wild West Riders 2nd Annual Dinner Fundraiser at the Overlander at 5 pm. A fun filled night of dinner, silent and live auctions and door prizes. Stay later and dance the night away starting at 9pm! See poster for details!

Walk for Wildlife at 1:00pm to 3:00pm, Join Mature kids’ educators Kim Zalay and Bill Gilroy at Scout Island Nature Centre where we will get outside and experience the wildlife and natural spaces that define Scout Island and the surrounding area.

Exclusive Boutique Whisky Tasting by JAK’s at 7:00pm to 8:30pm. At Signal Point gaming Colin Bussiere of Only Hearts Spirits for an Exclusive Boutique Whiskey Tasting! All participants will receive their own personal JAK’s Glencairn Whisky glass as a takeaway.

Death Café Join us for an open and relaxed conversation about death and dying. Eat Cake (or cookies), Drink tea (or coffee or water) and talk about the one certainty facing us all. Because Talking About Death Won’t Make It Happen but it can make it easier. Hosted by Angela Gutzer and Nicola Finch; Cariboo Community Deathcaring Network.

As a note: Death Cafe is not a grief support or end-of-life planning group, but rather a space to discuss what death and dying can teach us about living.
