Friday April 12th

Poverty Simulation is being hosted by with the United Way. It’s an opportunity to learn about the realities of living in poverty in our community. You will have a mission to provide food, shelter and basic needs for a simulated month on a limited income. Come join us and explore this reality in our community!

Open Mic night at the Overlander Pub is taking place at 8 pm to midnight so come on out and give it a try.

Cariboo Speech arts is taking place at the Evangelical Free Church at 9 am.

Bowl for kid’s sake is taking place on both Friday and Saturday from 6 pm to 10pm at the Cariboo bowling lanes. The theme is peace love and rock &roll.

Free Solo is being screened at the Gibraltar room at 7 to 9 pm. Follow Alex Honnold as he becomes the first person to ever free solo climb Yosemite’s 3000-foot-high El Captain Wall in this Academy Award winning documentary.

Saturday April 13th

Cariboo Coffee House at the Williams Lake Seniors Centre at 6:30.

Spring Hobby Con at LCS Columneetza Campus from 10 am to 6pm, entry is free if you like comic books or collectable this is the place to be.

The Williams Lake Studio Theatre is holding 10-minute play night so that if you ever wanted to try out being an actor this is your chance this event starts at 7 pm and runs until 10 pm.

Preschool Wheels at 10:00am -12:00pm. Bring your preschoolers bikes, trikes, scooters, and ride om toys down to the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex for the morning of fun. Parents must supervise their children at all times. Please remember to bring your helmets and safety equipment.

Tuesday April 16th

Join Branch Assistant Darren for a very special Easter Storytime on Tuesday April 16th. at 10:30 am. Not only will you get the usual stories, rhymes, songs and host puppet of regular Storytime, there will also be a special puppet show featuring Darren and Claire Schreiner from Cariboo Chilcotin Partners for Literacy. As always, the program is designed for children age 2 to 6 and their caregivers and takes place in the library’s Programme Room.

Free Agricultural Pest workshop on how to deal with them presented by the Invasive Species of BC from 9 am to 4pm at the Ramada Convention centre.

Williams Lake Wanderers at 9:15am. If you are interested in joining then please meet at the Cariboo Memorial Complex. They do a variety of different things through out the year, from Kayaking, Hiking, Walking, Snowshoeing, Biking, Skiing. Please call to find what they will be doing today. Succulent Workshop – Have you ever wanted to make your own living art? At Pink Peony they are holding their first make and take event from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Cariboo Festival – Piano 9:00am – Wednesday, Apr 17 1:00pm. Intermediate/ Senior championship playoff at the Calvary Church on the evening of April 18th at 6:30 pm

Ball Hockey 3:45pm – 4:45pm. This was started to create a relationship with the RCMP and youth. They have seen people who’d never even skated before come out and play so that it’s been a really open environment for everyone. Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex
