It’s Fire Prevention Week in Canada from Oct. 7th to the 13th. Forest Grove Elementary School staff picked two students to be fire chiefs for a day.
Students are chosen randomly once a year. Forest Grove Elementary students Ruth MacDonald and Kohen Angus were the lucky kids this time around.
They both joined Forest Grove Fire Department Chief Ron Lister for a delicious lunch at the Fire House diner in 100 Mile House.
During Fire Prevention Week, kids can learn about hands-on, interactive ways to be fire smart. At www.Sparky.org. Kids can find games, activities, and more to help them learn essential fire safety while playing games they will love.
