On November 15th 2020 at 02:50 AM, 100 Mile House RCMP attended to a report of a home invasion in the 500 block of Cedar Avenue in 100 Mile House BC. It was reported that two males had broken into an apartment at that location and assaulted a male victim by using a blunt object and firing what is believed to be a BB/pellet gun into his person, causing injury. After a brief exchange, the two suspects fled the area. All parties were known to each other. This incident is believed to be drug related. The 41 year old male victim was taken to 100 Mile Hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries. He has since been released. The victim is cooperating with Police.

 

One male was safely arrested later the same day in Williams Lake by Williams Lake RCMP working with the Regional Crime Reduction Unit out of Williams Lake BC. RCMP cannot release details related to this person as they have not yet been formally charged. He is expected to appear for a bail hearing in Williams Lake Provincial Court sometime today. The other male, described as a Indigenous, 6’2″ tall, slim, with dark skin and wearing jeans, a black hoodie and baseball cap, has not yet been identified.

 

This was an isolated event involving people known to each other and there is not believed to be any further risks to the community at this time.
